Kesondra + Jonah – Binghamton, NY Wedding

Hello world! I am so excited to finally post Kesondra and Jonah’s wedding day blog! I have been working double time on this one. I’m still working on that perfect balance between an overwhelming amount of pictures and an appropriate amount to share. It’s a hard task when you want to share ALL OF THEM.

Kesondra and Jonah had such a beautiful wedding day and besides a little rain and some last minute ceremony location plans, it went without a hitch. The pictures Brittni and I captured are beautiful and I’m so excited to share!

As always we began our day with the getting ready pictures in Binghamton, NY. Kesondra had this sitting next to her bed. Super cute!Kesondra found her dress at Ever After Bridal in Binghamton, NY. I have so many brides who find their dress dress at this boutique. If you’re engaged and haven’t found a dress yet, you should stop by! (They’re at 60 Washington Ave in Endicott, NY.)Kesondra had gifts ready for both her parents. These pictures were so sweet. I teared up right along with them while photographing these moments and then again while I was editing them. I’m so lucky to have the job I have. These sassy little flower girls were so cute!Jonah and Kesondra also had gifts ready for each other before the ceremony.I love when brides purchase matching bathrobes for everyone in the bridal party. We caught the flower girls admiring their dresses in Kesondra’s bedroom mirror. They took turns spinning each other. It was soooo cute! The transformation from fiancé to bride is always so fun to photograph. There’s so much excitement built up right before the ceremony.Kesondra didn’t originally have a first look with Dad planned but after seeing his reaction receiving his gift I knew we had to do one. It was so sweet to capture.
While I was busy photographing the girls, Brittni was off with Jonah and the guys. This is about the extent of the time it takes guys to get ready. Putting a jacket on. It’s kind of unfair, right?Gotta love the fancy socks!

They decided to get married right in Kesondra’s parents backyard. (Fun fact: Kesondra’s grandparents celebrated their wedding in the same spot and are still happily married to this day.)

The day was a bit rainy and chilly but Kesondra and Jonah were prepared with a separate ceremony tent. It was white in color which I always favor because it makes the lighting so nice inside, even on a rainy day.

If you’re not with someone who looks at you how Jonah looks at Kesondra, you might be doing it wrong.First kiss as husband and wife!Look at that cheesy grin.I love a good black and white photo of the first moments after the ceremony is complete. It doesn’t look it but it was so chilly and windy here! I’m thankful I brought my parka to shoot in. These gorgeous women were rockstars. You can’t even tell they’re cold!
The Hillside Flower Girls are always so great to work with and they make the most beautiful bouquets! My favorite part of the wedding day! The bride and groom photos. Get ready for SO MANY BEAUTIFUL SHOTS! We learned some really interesting facts about Jonah while taking these photos. I won’t share but I will forever laugh when I see these. Kesondra and Jonah were introduced as husband and wife by the wonderful Matt Wilson of Wilson Entertainment. We worked with Matt last year as well and it rained then too. Coincidence? I guess we’ll find out the next time we work with him! But he’s the greatest and we highly recommend! The speeches were sweet and heartfelt and the reception was so much fun. The wedding was catered by the incredible Terra Cotta and instead of a traditional dinner they had a food station and waiters bringing out platters of the most delicious finger foods. When I tie the knot, Terra Cotta will be 100% catering my wedding the same way! Food is SO important and they do such an amazing job. Plus we got to see Kortney who manages all the catering and she’s a gem!Ok, SO GET THIS! Kesondra’s younger sister who I believe is only 18 MADE THIS CAKE and the cupcakes. They were incredible. This cake was stunning and you’d never know it wasn’t professionally done. I asked if she planned to start a bakery and I don’t remember her exact words but I know she seemed to shrug it off and her reaction was so modest. She clearly doesn’t know she’s a prodigy child with some incredible talent. These chocolate ones though. DROOL.When all was said and done and everyone left, Kesondra and Jonah wanted to share one last dance alone. It was so sweet. We had so much fun shooting this wedding and I’m so happy I could partake in preserving these memories for Kesondra, Jonah and all their friends and family.

A big shout out to these awesome vendors who helped make the day so special…
