Rachael + Bob – 5.21.2016

Almost 4 years ago, Rachael and Bob met on OK Cupid. When telling me their story, I jokingly asked both of them if they were afraid of being murdered when they first met. Rachael said no while Bob looked thoughtful for a moment and then answered “Maybe”. Such a funny guy!

Their first date was over a casual dinner at TGI Fridays and then they went to see Wreck It Ralph. (One of my most favorite movies!) 2 years later, Bob proposed on Rachael’s graduation day. Bob stated, “As soon as the ceremony was over, I handed her the ring and said ‘I have something for you to wear to dinner’.” Rachael said she was confused at first and everyone was surprised but of course she said yes.

They set the date for May 21, 2016.

wedding bandsOn the morning of May 21, 2016. Rachael and her bridesmaids Kendra, Allison, Jacki and Erin began getting ready at The Spa At Traditions in Johnson City, NY. The women at the spa who did their hair and makeup did an amazing job!

Traditions at the SpaSassy bride and bridesmaidsI love the sass! Traditions at the Glen provided a gorgeous back drop for their getting ready pictures as well as detail shots.

This handkerchief was a gift from Japan. Gold fish are supposed to bring good luck! I love this detail shot.

The Ceremony took place at Our Lady of Good Council in Endicott, NY. I always love a good Catholic ceremony. Everything went smoothly and by 2:30 in the afternoon, Rachael and Bob were officially husband and wife!

I’m going to be honest here, they’re almost always terrifying. We captured some amazing shots!!! These are some of my very favorite!

By the time we were finished taking pictures, we were all soaked! It was time to make our way back to the reception where Traditions did a fantastic job at making the ballroom look beautiful. The reception was a blast and everyone had a wonderful time.
