I am so excited to share this shoot with you guys! Mother/Daughter portraits need to be more of a thing. I’m telling this to myself as much as I’m telling you. My daughter is about to be 13 and I’m blown away by the fact that I’m about to be mother to a TEENAGER. How did this even happen? Just yesterday my kid was in a highchair dumping applesauce on her head and calling it a hat. Cherish those little years mamas because they FLY.
Lindsay and Hayden met up with me near Binghamton, NY at Chenango Valley State Park. I love this place for pictures. There’s so many pretty spots and I love the lighting in the morning hours.
I LOVE the outfits that these two picked out for their shoot. I’m a huge hat person and LOVE that boho vibe.
We did a few pictures of just Hayden. She’s obviously a natural born model. I didn’t even have to pose her and I gave barely any direction. She made my job SO easy and I loved her vibrant energy.

Alongside the creek there’s a small patch of ferns. It kind of looks like something out of a movie that takes place in a jungle so we obviously had to risk some broken ankles to climb down the bank and get some pictures. Side note 1: I will always adventure anywhere. If you’re willing to go, SO AM I. Let’s do this. (Unless there’s sharks. Then no. And what’s wrong with you? Sharks? Really?) Side note 2: Green is my favorite color.

I had so much fun working with Lindsay and Hayden. They are both incredible and I loved capturing their mother daughter bond.
