Meet Nicole + David! You might remember them from the epic proposal blog where the cutest little penguins at Animal Adventure park helped ask for Nicole’s hand in marriage. Side note, penguins up close are frigging magical and Animal Adventure offers private encounters with them. Super educational and it really gives you a deeper appreciate for these little guys. That was my first time meeting Nicole who at the time was convinced I was just a PR person working for the park. I immediately adored her and could see immediately why David was so head over heels in love with this girl. She’s like a bright ray of sunshine who lights up the whole room.
We planned for their official engagement session at Robert Tremen Park in Ithaca, NY. There was only a few other souls traipsing around and braving the cold. It was a chilly one and the trails were slippery but we still took advantage of the gorgeous setting. I’m crazy about that winter lighting. It makes everything so bright and crystal looking.
Nicole and David make my job SO easy. I basically just need to sit back and snap away. These two are so playful and I loved capturing them cracking each other up. I barely had to give any direction. 
Ithaca is one of my most favorite places to shoot. Most of the parks boast massive waterfalls and hiking that’ll lead you through some gorgeous gorges with views for days. I spend a ton of time here in the warmer months. If I’m not shooting engagement sessions or weddings I’m out on the trails exploring or wading through the water on hot days. Ithaca also has some of the BEST food. I’m a frequent flyer at Ithaca Bakery and the commons has great food everywhere you look. If you haven’t visited Ithaca, YOU SHOULD GO! 
Seriously, you can’t NOT love these two. 
Robert Tremen has two entrances which I had no idea about until this past year. The second entrance is a few miles after the main entrance and has some really pretty stone bridges and more hiking trails. I love, love, love this stone bridge for photos. I need to get a bride and groom out there asap! Who’s getting married in Ithaca in 2022?!?!
I had so much fun doing this engagement session with Nicole and David. These two are getting married September 25 of this year and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding day!
