Kesondra + Jonah – Binghamton, NY Engagement Session

Meet Kesondra + Jonah! I met these two in the mid to late afternoon at Otsiningo park in Binghamton, NY. Kesondra and Jonah are so sweet together. It is so glaringly obvious how much these two love each other. They were also so much fun to photograph. I barely had to pose them. They were so playful and silly together. They definitely made my job cake.
The light was absolutely gorgeous on this day. You can’t beat a sunny, fall day!Color coordinated outfits make my heart happy. When you’re having your engagement session done, outfit planning is always a great idea. Colors that jive or sticking with the same color in different tones really makes pictures pop. Kesondra and Jonah did a great job with their engagement session outfit choices. I’m always here to help as well if couples feel stumped and need some ideas! (FYI – this was all Kesondra and Jonah!)I took SO many portraits of these two. Like so many that I texted Kesondra and made sure it wouldn’t overwhelm her. Sometimes I just can’t help myself and I give back a bajillion photos. This means processing takes a smidgen longer but I think it’s worth it. It goes against my moral code to purge gorgeous shots. And these were all gorgeous. How absolutely stunning is Kesondra?! I can’t wait to see this girl in a wedding dress. She is going to slay.Candids can be the best shots. That light though. I try to schedule my engagement sessions so they’re either early morning ish or late afternoon ish. The sun is so pretty during these times. So pretty that I had to do a black and white as well.Obsessed with the picture below. Photography has so much to do with your lighting. You can own the best gear in the world but it’s less about the gear and more about understanding how light comes through in photos and what to do with it in your post processing. Aren’t they seriously the cutest couple? You can’t have an engagement session without some ring shots.Jonah spotted a snake so we incorporated him into their shoot. No animals were hurt in the making of this engagement session! We were on our way back to our vehicles when the light went orangey and the sky looked epic. We stopped off by the pond to snap these shots. I love, love, love this one!
We originally planned to meet at the first parking lot when you pull into Otsiningo but we didn’t realize that there was a scarecrow contest going on. The parking lots were packed! I saw this one on the way back and couldn’t resist myself. I’m a big fan girl of this woman. RIP notorious RBG. You’re a legend.
Kesondra and Jonah are getting married in the spring of next year. I am so stoked to spend this day with them. They are such a wonderful couple and their day is going to be incredible. 2021 can’t come fast enough! Stay tuned!
