Tarra and Steve were married at a venue that I have been dying to visit. The West Branch Resort not only has a pretty restaurant/wedding venue right on the Delaware river (an excellent fly fishing spot if you’re into that sort of thing….which I really, really, really am.) but a slew of gorgeous cabins along the river which makes for an excellent space to get ready.
Before Tarra’s father passed away, he left Tarra this bottle to open on her wedding day. I thought this was so incredibly special and a deep reminder that even when our loved ones pass, they’re still around us in spirit.
Tarra and Steve chose to do a first look right outside of the cabin where Tarra finished getting ready. Tarra had been waiting YEARS to wear her wedding dress so it made this moment that much more special.
Tarra was escorted by their son down the aisle. It’s a good thing I keep a camera right up in front of my face because as soon as I saw Steve trying to keep it together and not tear up, I immediately teared up. I’m such a sentimental cream cheese fluff ball but that’s exactly why I love this job so much. I get to witness and freeze life’s most precious moments.
Tarra and Steve’s ceremony was short and sweet. It lasted no more than 15 minutes but it was 15 minutes of perfection and pure joy.
First kiss as husband and wife!
But then we got this shot which is exactly what I was aiming for. This field is right above the ceremony spot at the West Branch Resort.
We finished just in time before the rain rolled in.
Tarra and Steve’s wedding was wonderful and I’m so happy that I could be a part of capturing their day. A huge thanks to my assistant Mary for working by side and doing such an amazing job. (As always!) Also, a huge thank you to these wonderful vendors for making Tarra and Steve’s day nothing short of perfect!
