Ivy + Booker had THE most gorgeous wedding at the Hope Lake Lodge in Cortland, NY. They both got ready in some of Hope Lake Lodge’s beautiful and rustic suites. This place is so ideal for a wedding because everything happens right on sight and the photo opportunities are endless.
This chick was so sassy and though I captured lots of her posing for the camera, this is probably my most favorite shot of Emma. She’s looking up at Ivy in her wedding dress in such awe.
While I was busy with Ivy and the girls, Brittni was in with the guys capturing all the nerves and excitement before the first look.
Except this guy – I don’t think he was nervous at all. I love the goof ball photos!
Matching socks are always a yes in my book. ESPECIALLY if they’re American flag themed!
Ivy + Booker chose to do a first look before their ceremony. Thank goodness they did because shortly after we finished taking pictures of everyone, a giant storm rolled in and it continued raining for the majority of the evening. 
The wind was whipping before the storm rolled in. I love how flowy Ivy’s dress was because this made for a super dramatic effect and if you know me, you know I love to add a little drama into my photos. 
I couldn’t get over this stormy sky. I normally don’t do super contrast in my photos but THIS. I was madly in love with this. Also the fact that Ivy and Booker are a gorgeous couple makes the photos that much better. 
I probably took about 1000 pictures of Ivy alone. I couldn’t stop. She is so beautiful and every image was just more and more regal looking. Add in the wind and my heart was doing happy little squeezy dances inside my chest.
I’ve seen a few bouquet’s by Hillside Flower Girls but this one might be my favorite. The colors are so summery and fun!
The wind was seriously awesome.

I also got some really great shots of Booker. Honestly, I didn’t take as many of Booker as I did of Ivy but to be fair, Booker wasn’t wearing a gorgeous wedding dress that blew in the wind. 
The bridal party was amazing! Everyone was so much fun and we loved working with all of them!
When the flower girl is this stinking cute, she deserves her own time in the spotlight. 
My daughter saw this photo and I quote “OMG! This is the best picture ever! I love it!” I wonder if dabbing will always be a thing.
One thing you should know about Booker is he makes the best faces. I have so many goofy shots of this guy. I love that I could capture his personality so perfectly!
Aiden was a little bit more shy than Emma but he made up for it with all his silly faces. We didn’t even tell him to do this which makes it that much better. What a personality on this guy! And how frigging adorable is he?! I wonder if he gets it from his Uncle Booker!
We did get one serious photo though!
As soon as we finished taking pictures of the guys, the sky opened up and we had to run for it. We finished up with a group photo in the front of Hope Lake Lodge’s building where their entrance is covered. This is also where the ceremony was moved. I’m so happy that they had the room out front so Ivy and Booker could still be married outside. And during a THUNDERSTORM!! How lucky?
Not only brothers but clearly best friends! I’m shooting Booker’s brother’s wedding next year so I’m pretty sure we should get a repeat of this photo!

With thunder rumbling in the background, Ivy walked down the aisle. Neither were dry eyed and once I saw Booker wiping away tears I was super grateful to have a big, bulky camera up in front of my face.
Both Ivy and Booker wrote their own vows. Ivy cried through hers and let me tell you, I cried right along with her! They both did such a beautiful job with their vows. There probably wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
Once Ivy finished with her vows, Booker high fived her for making it through. 
Their ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. 
The reception took place in a beautifully constructed white tent next to Hope Lake Lodge. The details were perfection. Check out this yummy cookie table! 
All cookies were made by family and friends!

The warning look you give back to your sister. It honestly wasn’t embarrassing at all. Both Matron of Honor and Best Man did phenomenal with their speeches.
Especially this guy who made the entire room cry! 
Ivy + Booker ended their night with a sparkler send off.
