Megan + Jon had a gorgeous wedding in Binghamton, NY with their reception taking place at the new (and GOREGOUS) Riverdale wedding venue in Endwell, NY.
We started the day with Megan getting ready with her bridesmaids and bridesmen (This is starting to become a thing and I love it!) in Johnson city at Jade Salon while the guys got ready at the Church of the Holy Trinity.
Megan bought her dress at Dress Your Fancy. (A fabulous boutique in my hometown, Greene NY!)
First looks with your bridal party always produces the greatest shots!

When taking pictures of the guys before the ceremony, we always try to get at least one photo where it looks like the cover of a boyband album. Well done guys!
I love capturing those first looks as the wedding ceremony begins.
The above picture was taken by Mary. Any time we’re shooting together, we try to capture from the best angles. I love when there’s a balcony in the ceremony space because this aerial shot of the bride with her father walking down the aisle is just beautiful.

This is heart shaped (bird friendly) rice! 
We spent a solid 10 minutes picking rice out of the bridal parties hair after this but it was absolutely worth it to capture these shots.
One of our stops was the courthouse in Binghamton. This is a great place for wedding photos!
I love that this was a November wedding but we still were able to catch some fall foliage.
Shoes are important. (I probably write this in all my posts.)
These pictures were on a private farm around the Endicott area. The sun was just setting which provided us with some excellent backlight for portraits.
There are two kinds of bridal parties. Those who jump and those who do not jump. I’m so happy this crowd was all about the jump!
Our next stop was the Riverdale. This new wedding venue is where it’s at. Before Megan and Jon’s wedding even came about, I received an email from the event manager there. Her name is Lisa and she’s WONDERFUL. She was so great about correlating everyone’s needs and making sure everything was lined up and ready to go for the day of. Being able to have a good, working relationship with your fellow vendors is essential. (This is something you should always research when booking your vendors. Are they team players? If not, run!)
I’m proud to say I was the first wedding photographer to shoot a wedding at the Riverdale and for their first event, Lisa and her staff pulled it off flawlessly. I already have future clients booked at this awesome venue and am definitely recommending them further!

At one point everyone started taking turns doing forward rolls across the floor. I’m not sure what started this or why it happened, I’m just happy it did. Action shots are my favorite at receptions!
