Meet Elena and David! These two met while working at the same company 7 years ago. They were friends for years and spent a lot of time going for walks. After 4 years of being good friends, their friendship blossomed into romance. Three years after dating, David decided it was time to pop the question. 
I always ask my couples how the engagement went. These stories are always the best and David and Elena’s will not disappoint. When I first asked the question “How did you propose?”, David’s initial response was “She’s very difficult.” This made me laugh and it was the perfect segue into their story.
David and Elena planned a trip to Baltimore for the weekend. Try as he might, David couldn’t get Elena to partake in any of the things he wanted to do in order to propose. He even tried to get her into a paddleboat and she just wasn’t in the mood. Eventually throughout the day, David suggested they take a picture together. Unbeknownst to Elena, he had the ring out and in the picture. He told Elena to look at the picture and then got down on one knee. Elena was sweet enough to share that picture with me!
Seriously, how sweet is this?!?!? He did a great job picking the ring out too.

To commemorate their upcoming wedding, we spent the morning in Vestal, NY doing their engagement session. These are some of my most favorite shots. It was so hard to choose!
The balloon idea was all Elena! You can literally see the haze in this picture from the morning dew turning into condensation. Such a hot and buggy day but I love the hazy light those hot mornings create.
This is one of my most favorite pictures of these two. Elena is such a classic beauty. I can’t even put to words how excited I am to shoot their wedding in the fall. She is going to be a STUNNING bride.
David and Elena are getting married October 13th of this year at Endwell Greens. I can’t wait to capture this day for them!
